SHDb tapping into the Speed Force.

In December 2021, Superhero Database grew out of its server, so I had to migrate to a fresh new, bigger, server. It took about a week to find a good hosting company, set up the new server and transfer the database and the massive amount of files, mainly profile- and gallery images (over 45,000 images / +30 GB).

I have been tweaking and updating the server and website since having the new server. A lot of it is new to me (I'm not a server admin), so it takes some time to get it right.

Overall the server feels faster, but there are too many connection issues. The main reason is the memory (RAM, not storage).

The nice thing about the new hosting is that I can easily upgrade the server without having to transfer everything again. And I did just that an hour ago.
I've upgraded the server to 2x the CPU power, 2x Memory, 2x Storage,.. 2x everything basically.

This is not just for SHDb, but also for Realm Forger, since it will be running on the same server.

Hopefully everything will be running as fast as Barry without any issues.
